I've started this post three or four times this morning, each time getting to about two-hundred words, then x-ing it out.
There's something about our industry today, and our world, that makes work hard to produce. That means things that should take a few weeks to construct some times take many months.
Simple edicts like "that's good," or "that's bad," are missing. We pick and probe and over-think and gang-bang and all the rest.
All this protocol unleashes frustration.
Frustration unleashes nastiness.
Nastiness unleashes more nastiness.
It's sad how unkind and unforgiving our industry has become.
How fighting amongst ourselves has successfully shifted our focus from actually trying to heal an ailing industry. How everyone is against anyone else.
I'll try to write more later.
Something is nagging me and I can't get it out.
