Every Friday or Monday the "utilization police" check up on us in the office to compile a list of what each and creative is working on.
"What's on your plate?" they ask.
"Oatmeal," I reply, "and it's a bowl."
No wonder I am impelled to switch jobs every couple of years.
We have what's-on-your-plate meeting once a week. Generally, they're pretty helpful in getting extra time or better resources. But I dread the blank stare--which usually means I've been working my butt off for a project so far down the totem pole it's still a dang zygote.
