A ditty.

Mark Harris is a great writer that no one has ever heard of. He's most famous for having written "Bang the Drum Slowly." But to my mind that was just one of his peaks in a mountain range of work.

Harris' "Wake Up, Stupid," is to this day one of the funniest books I've ever read. Up there with the best of Joseph Heller, George MacDonald Fraser, Bruce Jay Friedman, or even early Philip Roth.

I've taken a ditty from "Wake up, Stupid" and rewritten it for me.

George Tannenbaum's obituary, George Tannenbaum denied.
"I amn't dead,"
George Tannenbaum said,
"And I won't be dead 'till the day I've died."
