This is dumb.
The first part of this ad read "Air France salutes your freedom of choice". Now I, like everyone else I know, voted for Obama. But 46% of the population didn't. So this ad runs the chance of ticking off at least 4 in 10. Maybe 70% of NY Times readers (where the ad is running) voted for Obama, but that's still 30% of people you're slighting. Of course that's a smaller percentage than usual for the French.
