I've been playing Sisyphus lately.
Pushing a giant boulder up an imposing crag.
Only to have it tumble back upon me.
So I have to start from scratch again.
Camus posited that this is the human, existential condition.
Not bad for a guy who never wrote copy.
It's not freelancing that makes me feel beleaguered.
It's just the way life is some times.
Every time you think some blip of copy gets approved,
it comes back with 47 more changes.
Not changes in material facts.
Not changes that make it better.
Just changes.
As indistinguishable from rational as one raindrop is from another.
But that's life.
It's hard to get over the hump.
There's a lot of crap weighing you down.
There's only one thing you can do about this.
Keep pushing.
