Hope is good. There is this notion that we tend to say that a lot of creativity is unleashed in bad times. If we look at breakthrough inventions over time I doubt that is true. it's probably random. But ity is a god and inspiring idea that it might be true. So we hope for someone to come up with the next big thing which will propel us into prosperity again. Now. Sorry for being such a killjoy .People without some economics means have never been able to be truly creative in any field that requires instruments, equipment, materials etc. So times may have been bad overall, but the starving scientist or inventor is nothing like the starving artist. Writers, philosophers and perhaps mathematicians can prosper in good times as well as bad times. The only instrument needed being a humble pen and something to scribble on. Well, mathematicians can't do without computers today.
