For a brief moment there was a serious conversation about art, but soon we drifted into the greater issues of life. And when the sun set he invited me to dinner.
But the night ended in sheer horror. Soon after he had told me that he once was a former race car champion, he said he intented to drive me home. His eyes were almost rolling up in their sockets. AT that moment I realised two things: First, I didn't have a choice. Second, I might be dead before dawn.
But, here's the moral of the story, I also learned a very important lesson.
He was seventy something. I was 24. And it dawned on me that he was younger than I was.

I think it's kind of nice to see a frumpy lady bring people to tears and touch them in ways a Britney or Madonna or Beyoncé has never been able to do.
