Just sayin'.

You can't have an economic recovery when 1% of the population controls 90% of the wealth. What you have is a Banana Republic. And not the kind that's just an expensive Gap.

Are you sure that number is right? I've seen many statistics on the sad shape of income inequality, but is it this stark? Can you site, I'd like to read.

George, sorry to say, you know jack about economics.since u r an avid reader start w Lords of Finance and work yr way up to the US going off the gold standard. There are deep structural flaws in the economy that are decades in the making.

Really, you're speaking out of ignorance. Not a simpleton like the Tea Party crowd but simplistic none the less.

Tom, sorry.
When wealth is in the hands of the few, you can't have a strong economy.

I know plenty about economics. Have read plenty. And know that simple truth.

Didn't meant to start this mess. Just looked a little off. In any event the point hardly changes.

your numbers could even be correct. im pretty sure that the top (1%) have the financial power to set the economic framework for the rest. if this is not control i dont know what is.
